I'm building this in the open, here in Ontario. The Garden Suite is in active development — a detailed concept package is ready for professional engineering review, and I'm reaching out to local fabricators and partners in Simcoe County to bring it to life. What I believe about home
A home is more than shelter. Its shape, its light, the feeling of it — they shape us, and they pass to the next generation. A home is one of the few things we build that outlives us. That's why it shouldn't be out of reach.

I'm Ben — Behzad Heydarzade — an inventor and designer of modular building systems, based in Alliston, Ontario.
I came to Canada as a newcomer, rebuilding after leaving a country in crisis. What surprised me most was the kindness. Strangers who didn't need to be kind, were. Neighbours who didn't need to help, did. It's the sort of quiet decency you don't fully appreciate until you've lived without it. That kindness gave me a place to stand. And once I could stand, I wanted to build something useful — something this country could use from someone it took in.
For years, in different fields, I've kept asking the same question: why does this have to be so hard? Sometimes the answer led somewhere, sometimes it didn't. But the habit stayed. Housing is where that habit belongs now.
I don't invent from nothing. What I do is take something that already exists and make it simpler, better-looking, and within reach. The Garden Suite is exactly that: a backyard home rethought so an ordinary family can actually have one. Assembled on-site from standard components, by any local fabricator, with the same design scaling from a small studio to a larger home.
It's not the first time I've worked this way. I hold a granted patent in Iran for an expandable container — reviewed by Iran University of Science and Technology — aimed at mobile homes, deployable medical clinics, and emergency shelter. What connects everything I make is one idea: take something complicated and expensive, and make it simpler and within reach.
